Merry Christmas world!!! I am so sorry that I have not updated my blog. I have been so busy with life this holiday season. As you can see, I have gotten bigger and taller since my last post. I am now eating baby cereal and many other things that my lola secretly feeds me (umm, let's see...maybe potatoes, persimmon, carrots, rice with sabaw, and many others). Don't tell my mom though - she's not supposed to know!!!
I just celebrated my first Christmas. My Mom, Dad and I drove out to Alta Loma, to my Auntie Joy's house, and met so many relatives (from uncles, aunties, and many other babies like me such as Charlotte, Ethan, and Logan).
We had the BEST time, especially when Santa stopped by!!!! Yes, that's right. I am so lucky, I am not even one year old, and I have met Santa!!! I must have been a good boy for the five months I've been around!!!!
I sat on his lap, and I asked for tons of Christmas gift! Guess what, the following day, my wish came true. On the evening of the 25th, I got to open all of my gifts, and I received so many gifts. I got tons of clothes (some were too small for me) and many toys!!!
I love Christmas. Talk to you again soon. I hope that your Christmas day was as fun as mine!!! Ciao!

Aiden Update: October 2008
The month of Birthday celebrations!!!!
October 1 – Today is my Daddy’s 27th birthday. We are going to BJ’s restaurant at Del Amo Mall after my dad gets off work.
October 4 – We went to my grandpa Pedro and grandma Flerida’s house for a BBQ to celebrate my Dad, Uncle Vince and grandma Nerie’s birthdays. I met Uncle Jason, my dad’s friend, and a few of my Uncle Vince’s friends.
October 11 – My auntie Alesia, one of my mom’s friends, invited us to her birthday party. The drive to her party was sooo long because she lives in Lake Elsinore. I met some of my parents’ friends from high school. They all said that I am cute and big.
October 12 – Today was such a long day because we went to so many different places. First, we went to Alexander’s baptismal in Yorba Linda. Alexander is the son of my mom’s friend, Jennifer. Alexander and I are only 3 days apart. He was born on July 27th. I had lots of fun there because Alexander let me jump in his jumper. My parents said they will buy me my own jumper. Next, we went to Ontario for my Grandpa John’s birthday. Grandpa John is my grandpa Pedro’s brother. I met some of my dad’s aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. It was great meeting all of them. They were very excited to see me. Since my mom was so anxious to get me a jumper, we went to Target in Rancho Cucamonga to check how much it cost. The rain forest jumper was on sale so my parents bought it for me. I couldn’t wait to play in it. After Target, we went to my Auntie Aisa’s house in Fontana to visit my cousin Charlotte. I didn’t get to play with her because she went to bed a few minutes after we got to their house. We left auntie Aisa’s house around 11:30 pm. I was soo tired when we got home.
October 20 – We went to visit auntie Aisa and cousin Charlotte again in Fontana. Charlotte wanted to play with me but I didn’t want to play with her because she was too rough. She hit me on the head accidentally so I got a little upset. My great grandma and grandma Ruth came over auntie Aisa’s house while we were there. My great grandma carried and played with me for a little bit. It was nice meeting them. After auntie Aisa’s house, we went to Ontario Mills to walk around. That mall was huge.
October 21 – My parents took me with them to their Chiropractor appointment. They needed to see the Chiropractor (Dr. Choi) because my mom’s wrist and my dad’s back has been hurting. We went to Citadel outlets after their appointment. My parents bought me 2 sweaters from Old Navy, a jacket from Nautica, 2 rattles from KB toys, and a pair of shoes from converse. Thanks mom and dad, you guys are great!!!
October 23 – Today we went to my grandpa Jerry’s house to celebrate my 3 month birthday. My grandma Terry cooked pancit and caldereta and my parents bought me a cake from Red Ribbon. I love my family.
October 25 – My mom, auntie Len and I went to Del Amo Mall. My mom bought some clothes and my auntie Len bought a gift for my auntie Jess’ birthday. Then, my parents and I went to my grandma Nerie’s house for my auntie Bernice’s birthday. There were 2 baby girls over there, one is older than me and the other is younger but I am bigger than both of them. My auntie Bernice’s relatives were so amazed at how big I am.
October 26 – We went to Seafood Port, a Chinese restaurant, to celebrate my auntie Jess’ birthday. I love her so much because she is nice, loving and caring. After lunch, we went to grandpa Jerry’s house to eat cake and to watch my auntie open her presents. We bought her a pair of shoes and she loved them. Then we went to Justin’s 10th birthday party. Justin is mom’s godson. There were lots of kids at his party. I met Rachel, one of my mommy’s best friends from high school.
October 27 – Today was a very special day because my parents took me to Sears to get my pictures taken. It was my first photo shoot. They took 9 poses of me. I smiled on most of the poses except when the photographer tried to put me on my belly. I cried because I don’t like being on my tummy.
October 31 – Happy Halloween!!! My parents dressed me up as Goofy. I went trick or treating with my cousins, Jemmalynn, Anthony and Malana. I didn’t really enjoy it because my costume made me really hot.

Aiden's First Disneyland Trip
Sept 29 - My parents took me to Dr. Diego today for my 2 months check up. I weigh 14 lbs 10 oz and I am 23 1/2 inches long. Dr. Diego gave me 3 shots on my legs. I cried for a little bit after I got the shots because they were so painful. My Mommy and Daddy were so proud of how brave I was.
Sept 23 - I am now 2 months old!!!! My parents and I went to the Dentist today. I saw the dentist cleaning my Daddy's teeth. After the dentist we went to visit my Mommy's friend Jennifer and her baby named Alexander. Alex and I are only 4 days apart. His birthday is July 27. He is a big boy just like me.
Sept 20 - Today we went to my Mommy's work picnic at Disneyland. My cousin Jemmalynn came with us. We watched some parades and walked around all day long. My Mommy carried me on a baby backpack so that I wouldn't cry. I met two of my Mom's co-workers. They both said that I am adorable!!! At the end of the night, my parents bought me two stuffed animals (Nemo and Mickey). I had soo much fun.

Aiden Update: September 2008 - 12 pounds!

August 9 - My Mommy & Daddy took me to my Papa Jerry & Grandma Terry's house today to celebrate my auntie Len's 19th birthday. My Papa Jerry was so proud and showing me off to all of his MASON friends. His friends all thought that I was adorable. I also met my Mommy's auntie Mercilyn for the first time. She said that I looked like my Mommy. I was really tired when we got home because we stayed at my grandparents house until 11pm.
August 12 - Today, I met my Uncle Bernie for the first time. We went to their house because my Daddy needed a haircut from Uncle Bernie. My auntie Bernice was so surprised because she didn't know that I was coming over. She was so excited to see me. My Grandpa Beng gave me some money for good luck.
August 18 - My parents were going to take me to Hermosa Beach today but since it was so hot, they decided to take me to Del Amo Mall instead. My auntie Misty works there so we went to go visit her. My Mommy wanted to shop but she didn't get to because I was very fussy. Sorry Mommy, I guess you will just have to shop online for right now.
August 22 - My Mommy put mittens on me today because she noticed some rashes on my face. She wants to prevent me from scratching myself. The mittens are annoying because they keep falling off my hands. Hopefully my rashes get better so I don't have to wear them anymore.
September 1 - Today is labor day and we are going to my Papa Jerry & Grandma Terry's house for a BBQ. I am so excited.
September 3 - My Mommy was concerned about the rashes on my face and my dried scalp so she took me to the Doctor. This time, I went to a new Pediatrician, her name is Dr. Diego. My Mommy was very nervous because it was her first time taking me out without the help of my Daddy. She did a pretty good job. I was very proud of her because she managed to carry me in my carseat all by herself. The nurse said that I weighed 12 lbs, 10 onces and 21 1/2 inches long. My Mommy was so amazed at how big I've gotten. Dr. Diego told my Mommy that I have cradle cap. Cradle cap is common to infants and does not hurt. Dr. Diego told my Mommy to rub baby oil on to my scalp before bath time to remove the flakes and to use hydrocortisone to treat the rashes on my face & neck. This is exactly what my Grandma Terry told my Mommy to do. Mommy should have just listened to grandma.
September 4 - Since I was born my Daddy has been the one giving me a bath. Today, my Mommy finally gave me a bath for the first time. She was so slow. Luckily my Daddy got home just in time to help Mommy with my bath. Thanks Dad!!!

Uncle Max
Last Saturday, my mommy and daddy woke up early, and dressed me up real nice. I was so sleepy. We headed out to Los Angeles by the airport, and went to this coffee shop called "Coffeee & Co." Ummmm....breakfast!
When we got to the coffee shop - guess who was there? My Uncle Max. I have never met my uncle before. I hope he was as excited to meet me too. He carried me, and hugged me, and kissed me! The adults were talking and I heard, he was going on a long trip, and will be riding in a plane! Oooooo! Take me with you, I've never been in a plane!
Take care, Uncle. Until we meet again. Thanks for taking the time to see my handsome self. Hopefully, it won't be long, before you come visit me again. I don't think I can go to Hawaii yet - so you'll have to come see me at my house.

Auntie & I

My mom's youngest sister - Auntie Len - always visits me. My mommy does not know it yet, but Auntie secretly calls me "Den Den." I think she wants my name and her name to match. It's kinda cute.....Our family has a habit of giving nicknames and repeating it. I don't understand....Ging Ging, Ning Ning, Mac Mac, Len Len...It's weird. I think "Den Den" is cute...It makes me feel special....shhhh, don't tell my Mom.
My Auntie Len Len has a habit of taking pictures of me and sending them out to people. I think she feels proud because she always catches me on a good mood, and I am always smiling when she takes a picture of me. She makes me laugh. Thanks, Auntie Len Len for the all the time you spend with me, and taking the busy time from your school and work, just to see my handsome self. Keep taking pictures, and I will keep smiling!

Aiden turns one month!

I just turned one month old! In celebration of my birthday, my mommy and daddy invited my grandpas, grandmas, aunties, uncles, and a few family friends for a BBQ at our house.
Auntie Misty bought me an ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins! It looked yummy, too bad I could not have some because I am way too young. I can't wait until I am old enough to eat ice cream.
My Auntie Jess bought me my first birthday present ever! I got clothes and cute little sandals from Gymboree.
My mom handed out announcement cards to everyone. They turned out so nice. I looked so cute, and everyone loved it.
Everyone was passing me around - everyone wanted to hug me. I felt soooo special. I was sleepy though and napped for the most part of the party.
Thank you everyone for coming to my party!

Aiden's World - One Month In Review
1st week -
June 28: My grandma Terry watched me today while my Mommy & Daddy went to Target to buy a few things. When they got back from the store, we went to a clinic to see a lactation specialist. My Mommy is concerned that I'm not getting enough milk and that she was not feeding me correctly. She was in a lot of pain because her nipples were sore. We were at the clinic for 3 hours. I was so irritated because everytime I latched on my Mom's breast, the lactation nurse pulled me away. The nurse told my Mommy that the frenulum under my tongue was too close to the tip of my tongue which prevented me from sticking out my tongue. This was the reason why my Mommy was sore because I was not sucking her nipples correctly. The nurse advised my parents to get the frenulum snipped by my Pediatrician.
June 29: I went to my Pediatrician today (Dr. Oca) for a follow up. My Daddy had to take off all of my clothes including my diaper so that the nurse could get my exact weight. I accidentally peed when they placed me on the scale because I was cold & nervous. Dr. Oca snipped the frenulum under my tongue because it restricted me from being able to stick out my tongue. My Mommy was in pain because I was not able to suck correctly during breastfeeding. After the frenulum was snipped my Mommy felt much better. Dr. Oca sent us to the lab to get my blood drawn. She wanted to check my Jaundice level. I experienced my 1st earthquake while we were in the lab. The earthquake happened right before the nurse poked my foot with the needle. It was so scarry, luckily my Mommy & Daddy were there to comfort me. My Jaundice level was 13 so Dr. Oca wanted my blood drawn again.
June 30: My Daddy went back to work today. I was home alone with my Mommy for the first time. Auntie Irma came over to visit my Mommy and I today. She brought boba for my Mommy.
June 31: My auntie Misty and cousin Jemmalynn went with my Mommy to take me to the lab today to get my blood drawn for the 2nd time. Dr. Oca said my Jaundice level has gone down to a 9 so I don't have to get my blood drawn again. My Mommy & Daddy were both so happy for the great news.

Happy Aiden
In a world that's all brand-new,
Babies have so much to do!
Laughing, making funny faces,
Finding out those ticklish places...
Cuddling up and wiggling toes,
Looking cute in tiny clothes...
Tasting, touching, reaching high,
Crawling under, scooting by...
Learning words and having fun...
Making memories one by one

Aiden at 2 weeks

Hello World -
I am now two weeks old. The picture above with my auntie is when I was 1 week old. It was taken right before she left for New York to take an exam. She came to visit me and my mom - she said she visited me for good luck. I hope that I am able to bring her good luck. The other picture was from yesterday afternoon - while I was sleeping in my car seat on Auntie's sofa. I look good, don't I?
I have been growing up fast. I have since then gained a pound and got an inch taller. I have been to car rides. In fact, yesterday, we visited my auntie's house. She took care of me for less than an hour while Mommy went to the doctor. I met Rascal and Teddy. She fed me using my bottle and I farted on her! She had to change me and didn't know which wipes to use. She has to practice a lot - if she wants her own babies!
My mommy was sick last night and I couldn't feed on her. I was miserable all night because I was hungry. They tried to give me that other type of milk (formula) but that did not taste as good as my usual food. I hope mommy gets well soon - so that I can eat well again. I don't like staying up all night, getting cranky and crying - my poor daddy needs some sleep.
Until next time.

The day I was born
Hello world. I came into this world on July 23, 2008 at approximately 5:15 PM. I was born at Hoag Hospital during a beautiful and sunny day at Newport Beach, California. My mommy had a hard time giving birth to me because I was a big boy. I weighed in at 8 pounds, 7 ounces and was 20 and a half inches long. I was so happy to be finally out of my mommy's tummy. It was hard getting out of there though - it was a very tiny hole and I had to squeeze right out. The doctor had to suction my head out, which is not really a good way to enter the world. The suction hurt my little head and I had a cone head for awhile - but my mommy reassures me that my head will come back to normal in just a few days, because babies have a soft head so it shouldn't be a problem. I still cried out loud though - because it hurt. My grandpa Jerry said that I cry like a cat. However, Auntie Ging said I cry like a lion. I think I like lion better than a cat! Anyways, I am excited to be out. I can't really see yet, but I can hear voices. I know I have grandpas and grandmas, and aunties and uncles - who are all so excited to just hold me, and play with me, and hold me - even though I don't really do much yet other than sleep and pout. Yeah, I pout - I don't know why I just do.
I have been feeding a lot on my poor mommy, who has to get up every hour to feed me. She has been breastfeeding me because the doctor said this is the healthiest way for a baby to grow.
Until next time world. Check out my pictures when I was only an hour old.
