Aiden's World - One Month In Review

1st week -
June 28: My grandma Terry watched me today while my Mommy & Daddy went to Target to buy a few things. When they got back from the store, we went to a clinic to see a lactation specialist. My Mommy is concerned that I'm not getting enough milk and that she was not feeding me correctly. She was in a lot of pain because her nipples were sore. We were at the clinic for 3 hours. I was so irritated because everytime I latched on my Mom's breast, the lactation nurse pulled me away. The nurse told my Mommy that the frenulum under my tongue was too close to the tip of my tongue which prevented me from sticking out my tongue. This was the reason why my Mommy was sore because I was not sucking her nipples correctly. The nurse advised my parents to get the frenulum snipped by my Pediatrician.

June 29: I went to my Pediatrician today (Dr. Oca) for a follow up. My Daddy had to take off all of my clothes including my diaper so that the nurse could get my exact weight. I accidentally peed when they placed me on the scale because I was cold & nervous. Dr. Oca snipped the frenulum under my tongue because it restricted me from being able to stick out my tongue. My Mommy was in pain because I was not able to suck correctly during breastfeeding. After the frenulum was snipped my Mommy felt much better. Dr. Oca sent us to the lab to get my blood drawn. She wanted to check my Jaundice level. I experienced my 1st earthquake while we were in the lab. The earthquake happened right before the nurse poked my foot with the needle. It was so scarry, luckily my Mommy & Daddy were there to comfort me. My Jaundice level was 13 so Dr. Oca wanted my blood drawn again.

June 30: My Daddy went back to work today. I was home alone with my Mommy for the first time. Auntie Irma came over to visit my Mommy and I today. She brought boba for my Mommy.

June 31: My auntie Misty and cousin Jemmalynn went with my Mommy to take me to the lab today to get my blood drawn for the 2nd time. Dr. Oca said my Jaundice level has gone down to a 9 so I don't have to get my blood drawn again. My Mommy & Daddy were both so happy for the great news.
